About Lin Ivice

After 22 years, Lin left a corporate communications position to open her own in-home personal training business in 1999. She is certified by the American Aerobic and Fitness Association (AAFA) and is an active member of IDEA. She is also currently working toward her yoga teaching certification.

In 1994, she received a Master's in Social Work (MSW) from Jane Addams College of Social Work and has worked part time in the mental health field. She also holds a Master's degree in language and secondary education from the University of Illinois, Champaign. She combines her training as a social worker and educator with her knowledge of exercise science and yoga to create a holistic approach to health and wellness. Most importantly, she brings to her work a true passion for fitness that stems from her own life-transforming experience through exercise.

Fitness For Every Body

Lin enjoys working with clients of all ages to improve and maintain their general health, as well as those who are coping with disabilities or chronic illnesses, including: multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's Disease, lupus, diabetes and sight impairment, cancer, fibromyalgia, depression, eating disorders and addictions. Lin strongly believes in the therapeutic value of exercise and views movement as medicine. With the heart of a social worker, she provides her clients with ongoing support and encouragement to help them achieve their goals, whether it's bettering their golf game or improving their quality of life in the face of a health challenge.

Having lived on the North Shore for 15 years, Lin is able to connect her clients to many local resources to help them complement their exercise programs with additional nutritional programs, massage therapy, other alternative approaches to wellness, etc.
